The TV remake of Katorse has been postponed indefinitely as ABS-CBN's primetime block is already filled with teleseryes of all genres starting this July. Since this has kept some Kapamilya viewers worried for a while, Erich Gonzales is quick to assure everyone that her show will still make it for airing anytime soon. " Oo naman po. Right now nagte-taping pa rin po kami. Actually hindi na rin namin mahintay na maipalabas kaya ginagawa namin yung best namin para mas pagandahin pa yung show," says the young actress to ABS-CBN.com. The delay is also caused by the weird weather conditions these past few weeks. " Yes, kasi ang reason din nun yung weather. Sobrang maulan kasi sa Batangas kaya kulang kami sa material. Kahit gusto na naming ipalabas hindi pa pwede kasi hindi pa kami ready. Mabuti nang makapag-prepare muna kami."
Despite that slight setback, Erich is still looking her radiant and one would probably think that her co-star Xian Lim is the reason behind it. But just when it seemed that their closeness at the Katorse set is turning into a full-blown romance, Erich reveals that they have decided to be just friends for now. She also denies the rumors saying that they have actually become girlfriend-boyfriend. "No, meron kaming agreement na ganito na lang muna. Focused na lang muna sa work. And wala, friends na lang muna." Xian has been very vocal about courting her a month ago. Does this mean she has rejected the young actor? " Hindi naman basted yun. Nagkaroon kaming dalawa ng isang maayos na usapan na wala munang ganyan-ganyan (romantic feelings for each other). Mas maganda ng ganon kasi mahirap pagsabayin na may studies at work tapos dadagdagan pa ng love life. Huwag muna ngayon," she stresses.
When told that her stand about wanting to focus first on her career is very similar to that of her friends Kim Chiu and Melissa Ricks, the equally bubbly Davoeña admits that they have discussed such issues during one of their girl talks in the past. " Hindi naman sa binigyan niya ako ng advice na huwag munang pumasok sa mga rela-relasyon na 'yan. Parang napag-uusapan lang na yun nga, huwag muna madaliin yung mga ganong bagay since bata pa naman kami," she relates. Truth be told, the trio are just having the time of their lives as seen by many during Kim's thanksgiving party at Eastwood last week. " Yun lang talaga yung chance namin na makapagbond kahit saglit lang. Nagkataong pare-pareho kasi kaming busy ngayon. Pero kapag walang schedule nagtetextan kami na 'Uy watch tayo ng movie,' ganun."
Erich further shares that there has never been an issue of rivalry and jealousy among them even though they all aspire to be the one of the best lead actresses in the biz someday. " Sino bang hindi gustong maging primetime princess 'di ba? Basta ako kahit anong project ang ibigay sa akin gagalingan ko talaga. Kay Kim naman, thank you for the friendship. Alam naman niya na I am always here for her. She deserves everything talaga napakabuti niyang tao. Forever friends kami," she beams.
